Metalne Police is a Croatian retailer of metal shelving and storage systems for homes, garages, workshops, and commercial spaces. Their customers range from a household ordering a single unit to a small business furnishing an entire storage room. What they all share is the same question: will this shelf fit my space and hold my load?
Industrial products are hard to sell online. Shelving is bought on numbers: dimensions, load capacity per shelf, total system weight. The products are bulky, shipping is not parcel-simple, and buyers hesitate when technical answers are buried in attachments or require a phone call.
Metalne Police needed a webshop where a customer can self-qualify in a few clicks and check out with confidence, in their own language and currency.
We built a brand new Shopify store designed around how people actually buy shelving. Products are organized by space and use case, with dimensions and load capacity presented as clear, structured data rather than PDF attachments. Product pages answer the fit-and-capacity question at a glance, and the checkout is a single native Shopify flow with EUR pricing localized for the Croatian market.
The result is a store where a first-time visitor can go from “I need shelves for my garage” to a completed order without ever needing to call.
The new store increased conversions by 18% compared to the previous setup. Customers find the right configuration faster, abandon less, and the Metalne Police team now manages the entire catalog and order flow from a single Shopify admin.
Shelving is bought on numbers, so the store treats specifications as the interface: browse by space, filter by size and load capacity, and see exactly what fits before adding to cart. No spec sheets to download, no guesswork at checkout.
Weekly promotions and clear savings badges keep returning customers engaged, while structured product data keeps first-time buyers confident.

The purchase flow mirrors the physical decision: pick the space, choose the right size and capacity, review the specs, and check out. Shopify’s native checkout handles the rest, localized in EUR for Croatian customers with fast delivery from local stock.
Heavy products don’t need a heavy platform. Shopify gives the Metalne Police team a catalog they can manage themselves, a checkout that converts, and zero server maintenance, while structured product data keeps technical buyers confident.
