How We Price

Every project we take on is custom-scoped: no two clients need the same thing. Here's what it typically takes to work with us, so you can tell in 30 seconds if we're the right fit.

Trying to gauge web development agency pricing before you pick up the phone? This page exists so you can do exactly that. Every engagement below reflects real starting points from recent Presta projects, not a generic rate card.

Starting Prices by Engagement Type

EngagementStarting at
Website build (marketing or brochure site)$5,000
eCommerce build (Shopify, WooCommerce)$10,000
Custom web or mobile app development$25,000
UX/UI design engagement$8,000
Ongoing design & dev partnership$5,000/mo

Final scope and cost depend on complexity, integrations, and timeline: every quote is custom. These numbers exist to help you self-qualify before we get on a call, not as a menu.

The gap between the first two rows is the one people ask about most. A $5,000 website is a marketing site: a handful of templates, your content, analytics, and a CMS you can actually run yourself. A $10,000 eCommerce build adds the machinery that comes with taking money, which means product and variant modelling, payment and tax setup, shipping logic, a checkout worth trusting, and the analytics to see where carts die. It is not the same site with a buy button bolted on.

How Our Pricing Compares to the Market

$5k-15kWhat agencies typically charge for a small-business marketing site in 2026
$15k-50kWhere most custom Shopify and WooCommerce builds land
$40-70/hrSenior Central and Eastern European rates, against $140-250 in North America
40-60%Lower project cost than comparable Western European agencies

Both entry points sit inside the normal range rather than under it. Independent 2026 surveys put agency-built marketing sites at roughly $5,000 to $15,000, and custom Shopify builds most commonly between $10,000 and $20,000. We are not the cheapest option and we do not try to be. Agencies pricing far below market usually recover the difference somewhere you cannot see it, in performance, accessibility, or the support that quietly disappears after launch.

What we do have is location arithmetic. We are a senior in-house team in Belgrade, so you get Western-standard engineering at Central and Eastern European rates. A senior developer in Belgrade and one in New York produce comparable architecture; the rates differ by three to five times because of local market economics, not skill.

What Drives Web Development Agency Pricing

Two briefs that look almost identical on paper can land three times apart once the detail is clear. These are the variables that move a quote the most.

  • Scope: how many templates, unique layouts, and pages
  • Integrations: ERP, PIM, CRM, payment, or custom subscription logic
  • Data migration: product catalogue, customers, orders, and URL structure
  • Design depth: extending an existing system versus original art direction
  • Markets: the number of languages, currencies, and regional storefronts
  • Timeline: compressed deadlines need more people working in parallel

What Happens After You Get in Touch

You will not get a number on the first call, and you should be sceptical of any agency that gives you one. Here is the sequence we follow instead.

  1. A 30 minute call to understand the goal, the constraints, and the deadline.
  2. A short scoping pass where we pressure-test the requirements and flag the expensive unknowns.
  3. A fixed written proposal with the scope, the phases, the timeline, and the price.
  4. A build that runs in phases, so you see working software early rather than at the end.

What Every Engagement Includes

Whatever number lands in your proposal, the following are not optional extras and not line items you negotiate away.

  • A Discovery Workshop before any estimate is written
  • A fixed-price proposal with a week-by-week timeline
  • Design signed off and locked before development starts
  • A staging environment and QA across real devices
  • 30 days of post-launch support after go-live
  • Full ownership of the code, the design files, and the accounts

Who These Prices Work Best For

A good fit if

  • You have a commercial goal behind the project, not just a tired-looking site
  • You want fixed scope and a fixed price rather than an open hourly meter
  • Your budget starts around $5,000 for a marketing site, or $10,000 if you are selling online
  • You can give feedback within a few days at each stage
  • You would rather have senior developers than the lowest bid

Probably not a fit if

  • You need a single landing page or a small template tweak
  • Your total budget is under $5,000
  • You are collecting quotes and will pick the cheapest
  • You need work to start tomorrow with no discovery phase
  • You expect an exact number before the scope exists

If you are in the right-hand column, say so on the first call and we will tell you honestly. Sometimes the right answer is a freelancer, a theme, or waiting a quarter. We would rather lose the project than sell you the wrong one.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Pricing

Why don’t you list exact prices?

Because a landing page and a multi-market platform migration aren’t the same project, and pretending they are would mean overcharging simple work or underquoting complex work.

What is the difference between the $5,000 website and the $10,000 eCommerce build?

Selling online is what separates them. A $5,000 marketing site is design, content, a CMS you can run yourself, and analytics. The $10,000 eCommerce tier adds everything that comes with taking money: product and variant modelling, payment and tax configuration, shipping rules, a checkout that converts, and the tracking to see where carts are abandoned. If you are selling anything, start from the second row.

What’s included at the starting price?

At minimum scope, that covers a full discovery and scoping phase, design and build of one core deliverable (a launched Shopify store, an MVP app, or a UX/UI system, depending on the row), and a standard round of revisions. It doesn’t include multi-market localization, complex third-party integrations, or ongoing support past launch: those move the estimate up from the starting point.

Do you work with smaller budgets?

Yes. If your budget is below a project’s starting point, we can usually phase the work: an MVP-first build to prove the concept, or a smaller first sprint that sets up a larger engagement later. Tell us your range and we’ll tell you honestly what fits.

Do you charge a fixed price or by the hour?

Projects are quoted at a fixed price against a written scope, so you know the number before we start. Ongoing partnerships run as a monthly retainer for an agreed amount of capacity. We only bill hourly for small out-of-scope requests, and we agree those with you first.

How long does a project usually take?

A focused Shopify or WooCommerce build is usually six to ten weeks. A custom web or mobile app is more often three to six months to a first release. Platform migrations depend almost entirely on how clean the data is. You get a phased timeline in the proposal, not a guess on the call.

What does the payment schedule look like?

Most projects run on a deposit to secure the start date, then payments tied to delivered phases rather than to the calendar. Retainers are billed monthly in advance. Everything is set out in the proposal before you sign anything.

Can you work with our existing team or designs?

Yes, and it often lowers the cost. If you already have a design system, brand guidelines, or an in-house developer, we scope around what exists instead of rebuilding it. Tell us what you have on the first call and we will price the gap, not the whole thing.
